Level 2 Diploma in Trauma-Informed Learning Support & Therapeutic Pastoral Care
The Trauma-Informed Pastoral Care & Learning Support Level 2 Diploma is aimed at Teachers, including Designated Teacher for Looked After and Previously Looked After Children, Learning Support Workers, Family Support Workers & staff in pastoral roles within education, It is a programme devised by The Centre of Therapeutic Parenting Studies at Inspire Training Group, part of The Centre of Excellence in Child Trauma.
It includes SAfE parenting which is based on the PARENTS model of Therapeutic Parenting devised by Sarah Naish (2017) which supports parents in their ability to look at the root cause of their child’s behaviour and respond consciously rather than emotionally.
In This Programme You Will...

Meeting the Needs of the Growing and Developing Child.

Creating a SAfE Parenting Environment.

SAfE Parenting: Parental Compassion Fatigue.

Working with parents and families.

Exploring the root cause of the child’s behaviour and implementing strategies to support emotional regulation.

Compassion Fatigue, taking care of yourself and others.
Who is the for?
The Trauma-Informed Learning Support & Pastoral Care Diploma is aimed at Teachers, including Designated Teacher for Looked After and Previously Looked After Children, Learning Support Workers, Family Support Workers & staff in pastoral roles within education.
Not only will parents be able to learn and put in to practice Therapeutic Parenting strategies, which will help them to develop a trusting relationship with their child, they will also gain certification of our CACHE Accredited Customised Qualification in SAfE Parenting.
Programme Length
Online: Total of 80 hours of study, over 6 monthly on online study.
We aim to provide a learning experience which gives learners access to high quality learning resources, encouraging engagement in areas
relative to therapeutic parenting and the course such finance, health and wellbeing.
Please note: The qualifications are predominantly studied online through a learning platform; therefore, it is a prerequisite for applicants to be ICT/computer literate.
